Well, in March this year, we have seen India’s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel and state-run telecom operator BSNL has joined hands with Finnish company Nokia to prepare for the next generation of 5G connectivity and Internet of things in India.
The announcement was made in early march 2017 and Nokia had just inked MoUs(Memorandum of understandings) with airtel and BSNL. For those who don’t know about MOU let me tell you MoU is a formal agreement between two or more parties.

Sanjay Malik, head of India market at Nokia, told Economic Times “Thoughts behind these MoUs would be to introduce 5G here, and what are the steps required for the same, besides identifying applications to define the target segment, which will lead to a complete 5G strategy for telcos”
